Fisher Snowplows Now Compatible With 2013 Ram 1500 On Monday, Fisher Engineering released some exciting news for anyone with a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 who is looking for a new snowplow. After some very thorough and extensive testing, the engineers at Fisher are confident that their snowplows are compatible with the new enhanced electronic steering systems in the 2013 Dodge 1500’s. The Fisher lab testing consisted of worst-case scenario vehicle and snowplow electrical load testing in addition to dynamic braking and handling testing. According to Fisher, the 2013 Ram performed flawlessly and has proven itself as a capable plow vehicle even under extreme conditions and maximum loads. Although the majority of the 2013 1500’s changes lie beneath its skin, Ram subtly tweaked the truck’s styling for some freshness. The grille is taller and the front bumper is new, and previously optional quad halogen headlights are now standard across the 1500 line, as are LED taillights. Moreover, power rack-and-pinion steering helps maintain directional stability at highway speeds and provides a tighter turning diameter for parking maneuvers. Finally, the 2009-13 Ram 1500 continues to meet all FMVSS/CMVSS safety standards regarding air bag deployment and crash worthiness based on testing. If you want to see Fisher Engineering products in person, they will be exhibiting in booth #1834 at the 2013 APWA International Public Works Congress; Exposition in Chicago, IL.
